Our Story

Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Rura Mallu, Jalaun

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Jalaun was established in 2005 at Govt. Agriculture Farm, Rura Mallu, PO Shahjadpura, Distt. Jalaun (UP). It operates under the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and is currently linked to Banda University of Agriculture & Technology (BUAT), Banda.

From its very inception, inspite of insufficient staff, KVK Jalaun has been performing a considerable and commendable job of rural development in district Jalaun through Training, Demonstration, On Farm Testing (OFTs) and Farm Advisory Services.

Humble contribution is being made in organic farming, sustainable crop production, seed production, flower cultivation, spice cultivation, vegetable cultivation, fruit production and allied areas. KVK Jalaun has established strong collaboration with State Departments of Agriculture, Horticulture, DRDA and other line departments.

Jalaun district is one of the 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh, falling in Jhansi Division. Its northern boundary is naturally demarcated by river Yamuna, while its western boundary adjoins Madhya Pradesh.
